North West N0rth4evr EP is set to release on May 1, 2026 via Gamma — marking the 12-year-old’s first official solo project and her most significant step yet as a recording artist.

The six-track EP was listed on Spotify ahead of its release date, complete with pre-save functionality and a striking black-and-white cover featuring the project’s title in a heavy metal-inspired font. Individual track titles have not been revealed yet, with the Spotify listing showing placeholder names from Track 1 through Track 6. Track 4 carries an explicit content label.

What We Know About the North West N0rth4evr EP

The project is distributed through Gamma, the independent music company founded by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson. North signed to the label in February 2026, joining her father Ye, who had partnered with Gamma for his own album BULLY.

The North West N0rth4evr EP arrives as the young artist’s most complete solo statement yet, following a string of high-profile features and collaborations.

North West N0rth4evr EP COUNTDOWN

The EP’s title — stylized as N0rth4evr — mirrors the visual aesthetic of the cover art, which leans into a gothic, aggressive style far removed from what listeners might expect from a preteen artist. It signals a deliberate identity distinct from her previous features and collaborations.

North previewed her musical direction earlier this year with the solo single “Piercing on My Hand,” released February 6, 2026. Produced by Ye and Will Frenchman, the self-referential track addressed online criticism of her finger piercings and featured plugg-influenced production with an opening soul vocal sample. She debuted the song live on January 30 in Mexico City, performing before a crowd of nearly 40,000 alongside her father.

Road to North West N0rth4evr EP

North’s entry into music has been gradual but deliberate. She first appeared on a charting record in February 2024 when “Talking / Once Again” — a collaboration with Ye and Ty Dolla $ign from their Vultures 1 album — peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her one of the youngest artists to chart on that index.

She followed that with an appearance on “Bomb” from Vultures 2, where she and her sister Chicago both contributed verses. In early 2025, she delivered a rap in Japanese on FKA twigs’ “Childlike Things,” a track from the British artist’s Grammy-winning album Eusexua.

It was at a Vultures 2 listening party in Phoenix in March 2024 that North first publicly announced she was working on a debut album titled Elementary School Dropout — a nod to her father’s iconic 2004 debut The College Dropout. The full-length project’s release date remains unconfirmed, and it’s currently unclear whether N0rth4evr is a standalone EP separate from that album or an early release connected to it.

Ye has been closely involved in the creative process throughout. In January 2025, he posted studio footage of the two working together and wrote that North “made me love music again,” adding that he personally chopped every beat for her project on the ASR sampler.

What to Expect on May 1

N0rth4evr will be available to pre-save on Spotify ahead of its May 1, 2026 release. The EP is released under © 2026 North West / Gamma.

With six tracks and one explicit listing, the project is a compact introduction to North as a solo act. Whether any of the songs are carried over from previously heard live performances — including material teased at the Mexico City show — remains to be confirmed.

Kim Kardashian, speaking to Complex in February 2026, described her daughter’s attitude toward the music: “She loves producing music and wanted to share it with the world and isn’t afraid if people will like it. She’s like her dad in that if she likes it, that’s enough for her.”
