Symere Bysil Woods, born July 31, 1994, records as Lil Uzi Vert and uses they/them pronouns. Raised in the Francisville neighborhood of North Philadelphia, they started rapping in tenth grade, worked at a Bottom Dollar store for four days, and got their first face tattoo after being kicked out of their mother's house. The mixtape Luv Is Rage led to a deal with Atlantic through DJ Drama's Generation Now, and "Money Longer" and Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World broke them nationally. Their feature on Migos' "Bad and Boujee" topped the Hot 100, and "XO Tour Llif3" became a generational single. Luv Is Rage 2 and Eternal Atake both debuted at number one, and Pink Tape in 2023 became the first rap album to top the Billboard 200 in over a year.
