ASAP Rocky Sofia Concert Recap: Late Start, Flying Bras and a Fan on Stage

The ASAP Rocky Sofia concert at Arena 8888 on October 9, 2026 started around 9:30 p.m., after two rounds of delays, and ran until about midnight. I was there for all of it: the waiting, the merch line, a stream of bras flying toward the stage and the moment Rocky brought a fan up from the crowd. A mix of emotions, but a clear yes.

It was Rocky’s first-ever show in Bulgaria, promoted by Fest Team, and the second-to-last date of the DON’T BE DUMB World Tour, which closes in Athens on October 11, 2026.

What happened with the start time at the ASAP Rocky Sofia concert?

The start time moved twice. Earlier on October 9, I received an SMS as a ticket holder and saw a post on social media announcing a 30-minute delay. When I reached the arena, it became clear that another hour would be added on top of that. We finally got inside at around 8 p.m.

I bought merch first (the quality is genuinely very good) and then went to my assigned seat, where the next wait began. Rocky came on at around 9:30 p.m. and the show ran until about midnight.

What were the standout moments of the show?

Three moments stand out.

The bras. After one girl threw her bra toward the stage, at least ten more followed. By my own tally, that made it a symbolic record for the tour, though it is not an official statistic. Bras on stage have been a habit of this run: a Metro Times review of the Detroit show reported bras being thrown to the stage throughout the night, so Sofia was adding to something this tour already had going.

The handmade merch. Several fans had made their own merch, and Rocky was clearly thrilled by it. He signed some of the pieces, and others were handed to him as gifts.

The fan on stage. The climax of the night came when Rocky brought a girl from the crowd up onto the stage. A headline guest moment on the North American leg was 50 Cent joining Rocky in Newark on July 11, 2026. In Sofia, the peak came from the crowd instead.

What does a typical DON’T BE DUMB World Tour show look like?

This section is tour-level context from published coverage, not a Sofia running order. The tour supports DON’T BE DUMB, Rocky’s fourth studio album, released January 16, 2026 and his first full-length album in almost eight years. According to Ticketmaster’s setlist guide, there are no traditional openers: six alter egos (GR1M, Mr. Mayers, Rugahand, Babushka Boi, Dummy and Shirthead) appear instead.

The tour opened on May 27, 2026 at the United Center in Chicago with a 39-song set. It began with “Gr1m Freestyle,” “Trunks” and “HIGHJACK,” ran through “Praise the Lord (Da Shine),” “Sundress,” “Fashion Killa” and “L$D,” and closed with “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2.”

The Detroit date’s production leaned on helicopters. The same Metro Times review counted three: a prop helicopter Rocky performed on, a stationary one and an inflatable one floating over the crowd, alongside dancers dressed as S.W.A.T. officers and a mosh pit.

Why did the Sofia date matter?

ASAP Rocky played Arena 8888 Sofia on October 9, 2026 in what Fest Team billed as his first-ever concert in Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian News Agency described it the same way when the date was announced. Sofia was also the second-to-last stop of a world tour that began on May 27, 2026 in Chicago and ends on October 11, 2026 in Athens, with Belgrade on October 8 immediately before it.

According to Fest Team’s announcement (in Bulgarian), tickets went on general sale on June 5, 2026 through Ticket Station, starting at 66 euros, after a June 4 presale for Fest Club members.

Was the ASAP Rocky Sofia concert worth it?

Yes, with an asterisk. The asterisk is the waiting: two delays, a wait before getting inside and another in my seat before the show began around 9:30 p.m. I will not pretend that part was fun.

The rest paid it back: about two and a half hours of show, a wave of bras, fan-made merch that Rocky signed and accepted as gifts, and a fan brought up on stage. My verdict is a mix of emotions, but definitely worth it. For a first-ever Bulgarian date, that is a lot of night.

What’s next for the DON’T BE DUMB World Tour?

The tour finishes at Telekom Center Athens in Greece on October 11, 2026, which is also Rocky’s first concert in the country. For every date on the European leg, see our ASAP Rocky Europe tour 2026 guide.
