Cashmere Lavon Small, born March 31, 1998, records as Cash Cobain. He grew up in the Forest Houses in the South Bronx, started making beats at his grandmother's place, taught himself VirtualDJ and FL Studio, and moved to Queens as a teenager. Drawing on drill, trap and Jersey club, he became the central figure in sexy drill and sample drill, two New York subgenres built on R&B samples, melodic delivery and explicit humor. He released the mixtape 719 in 2018 and 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy with Chow Lee in 2022 before his debut album Play Cash Cobain in 2024. His producer tag, voiced by Big Yaya, became a New York radio fixture on its own. He has worked with Ice Spice, Drake, J. Cole, Cardi B, Don Toliver, Bay Swag and Trippie Redd.
