Playboi Carti bodycam footage from his October 2025 arrest in Wasatch County, Utah surfaced on July 30, 2026, when the YouTube channel CufBoys published video of the roadside stop, the separate police interviews with the rapper and his then-girlfriend Giovanna “Gio” Ramos, and two 911 calls made from the scene.

The rapper, born Jordan Terrell Carter, was charged with one count of assault, a class B misdemeanor, in Wasatch County on October 9, 2025 over an altercation with his limo driver a week earlier. Both Carter and Ramos publicly denied the allegations at the time. No resolution of the case has been reported publicly.

The Playboi Carti bodycam footage shows deputies questioning Carter and Ramos separately at the side of the road after the vehicle pulled over. According to XXL, Carter tells officers that nobody hit anybody and that his security team was only trying to separate the two after the driver “tweaked out.”

Ramos, questioned apart from him, acknowledges that she and Carter had been arguing. She does not say that he struck her. She does say she hit one of the limo drivers who stepped between them after the car stopped.

XXL reported that it had contacted Carter’s representatives and the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office for comment.

What do the two 911 calls reveal?

The video package includes two 911 calls. In the first, the limo driver tells a dispatcher he wants to press charges, saying Carter hit him after he tried to move Ramos into another vehicle. In his account to dispatch, Carter had struck Ramos during an argument in the back seat. Shouting and a woman crying are audible in the background of the call.

The second call came from a bystander, who told dispatch he had seen two men fighting in the street.

A section of the footage circulated separately by DJ Akademiks captures the officer handling the stop struggling to place the rapper. Told to return to the vehicle, Carter keeps moving. “Gosh, dude. None of you guys listen,” the officer says.

Asked who was driving and where the group had come from, Carter says the driver had only just picked him up and was working a tour with The Weeknd. The officer asks who he is.

“I’m a singer. I’m Playboi, Playboi Carti,” Carter replies. “Me and Weeknd on tour. Sold out.”

The officer turns to another person at the scene and asks, “Is he actually Playboi Carti?” He then requests Carter’s license and asks who hit whom. Carter says none of them hit each other.

What happened on October 2, 2025?

Wasatch County deputies were called to an altercation near River Road and U.S. Highway 40 on October 2, 2025, according to KSL reporting cited by KPCW. The limo driver told deputies he had picked Carter up in Park City to drive him to a rehearsal in Utah County.

Court documents state that Carter and his girlfriend began fighting in the car, and that Carter hit the driver in the face when he tried to intervene. The driver told deputies he did not see Carter hit the woman, but noticed she was “hunched over holding her chest.”

HotNewHipHop, citing the police report, identified the driver as Carl Reynolds and reported that Carter admitted striking him for “stopping in a weird place and dropping them off.” Dispatch audio reported later in October 2025 also indicated Carter threatened to shoot a second driver named in the report as Lance Hayes. None of those claims have been tested in court.

Carter was in Utah for a show at the Delta Center. His Antagonist 2.0 Tour opened in Salt Lake City on October 3, 2025 and ran as scheduled after the arrest, closing in his hometown of Atlanta on December 1, 2025.

How did Playboi Carti and Gio Ramos respond?

Both denied the allegations. Fans identified Ramos as the woman described in the police report, though the document did not name her. She posted a vague Instagram Story appearing to dismiss the reports shortly after they surfaced.

Carter addressed it from the stage days later. “And my wife Gio, she’s right with me,” he said. “Please do not believe the hype.”
