Gavin Weiland Huff, born October 22, 2000, records as Weiland. The Tampa, Florida artist began posting to SoundCloud in 2016 and came up through the underground collective Slayworld, where he became one of the founding figures of pluggnB alongside Summrs, Kankan and Autumn!. His early work built on heavy reverb and Auto-Tune over plugg production, and by late 2020 he had turned toward a retro synthpop and coldwave sound that separates him from most of his peers, citing Kanye West, Imogen Heap and Daft Punk as influences. He signed to Steven Victor's Victor Victor Worldwide in 2020 and released his self-titled debut that year, followed by Vices in 2022 and the EP You Can't Climb the Mountain in N.Y. in 2025. He also records as Alleen Plains.
