Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, born February 6, 1993, is a singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, to a Zimbabwean father and an American mother, both college professors, she moved to Los Angeles as a child and worked in film and television, including motion capture on The Polar Express and roles on Out of Jimmy's Head and Two and a Half Men. She was a member of the girl group The Stunners from 2007 to 2011, then self-released the mixtapes In Case We Die, Reverie and Black Water. "2 On" with Schoolboy Q broke her in 2014 and led her debut album Aquarius. After leaving RCA she went independent, and her 2024 album Quantum Baby produced "Nasty," one of the biggest sleeper hits of the year.
