Ravyn Lenae Washington, born January 22, 1999, is a singer and songwriter from Chicago. Raised in the Pullman Christian Reformed Church on the far South Side, where her grandfather was pastor for 30 years, she began writing songs in middle school and studied classical music at the Chicago High School for the Arts. As a sophomore she spent $300 on a studio session that produced her first single "Greetings," and soon formed the core of the Zero Fatigue collective with Monte Booker and Smino. Atlantic reissued her debut EP Moon Shoes in 2016, and Midnight Moonlight followed. She toured with SZA and Noname in 2017. Her debut album Hypnos arrived in 2022, and Bird's Eye in 2024 produced "Love Me Not," which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100.
