Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, born March 13, 1992, records as Ozuna. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother, he was raised mainly by his paternal grandmother after his father, a dancer for Vico C, was shot and killed when Ozuna was three. He decided to sing at 12, the same year an uncle gave him his first microphone, and was later discovered by producer Fernando "Damian" Acevedo in Santurce, who told him to use his surname as his stage name. He debuted in 2012 and became one of the biggest artists in reggaeton and Latin trap, sending five albums to number one on the Top Latin Albums chart, with Aura reaching number seven on the Billboard 200. He released the joint album Los Dioses with Anuel AA in 2021.
