Eric Aldwin Bellinger Jr. is an R&B singer, songwriter and producer raised in Los Angeles, and the grandson of Jackson 5 songwriter Bobby Day. He turned down a football scholarship to USC to record with the group AKNU, then joined the songwriting collective The Writing Camp in 2010. As a writer he has credits on Usher's "Lemme See," Chris Brown's "New Flame," Justin Bieber's "Right Here" and Wale's "On Chill," and his contributions to Brown's F.A.M.E. earned him a Grammy. He launched his own catalog with the Born II Sing mixtape series and the 2014 double album The Rebirth, then signed with 300 Entertainment for the Eric B for President EPs. He has since released at a prolific independent pace, building one of the most consistent long-run R&B catalogs of the streaming era.
