The Yeezy sneakers 2026 lineup looks nothing like the adidas era. The line is now made and sold by Ye independently, it starts at $40, and on August 13 it returned to physical retail for the first time since 2022 through JD Sports and Finish Line. Five models are in the current range, and a sixth, the Yeezy 800, was revealed in early August.

What happened to Yeezy after adidas

adidas terminated the partnership in October 2022. At its peak the line was generating about $1.7 billion a year, according to reported figures, falling to $1.3 billion in 2022 and $565 million in 2023 as adidas sold through leftover inventory rather than producing new stock.

What followed was three years of direct-to-consumer selling on yeezy.com with no manufacturing partner, no wholesale accounts and no retail footprint. Distribution, not demand, became the constraint: orders shipped slowly, stock levels were unpredictable, and there was nowhere to try a pair on.

The JD Sports and Finish Line deal is the answer to that. It gives the independent brand access to an established supply chain and physical stores for the first time since the split, and it is the reason the Yeezy sneakers 2026 range is in stores at all.

The YS-01 is the entry point and the volume seller. It is the direct descendant of the adidas Yeezy Slide, which retailed at $90, and it undercuts that price by more than half.

The Yeezy 800

Ye teased the Yeezy 800 on Instagram on August 3, 2026, with four pastel colorways following on August 7. It is a retro running shape built from mesh, nubuck and synthetic panels, with a ballistic mesh tongue, a textured toe cap and heel, and a deliberately unfinished surface treatment.

The numeric name matters. It returns to the naming system of the adidas years, when the 350, 500 and 700 anchored the line, and it signals a flagship rather than another sandal. No price or release date has been confirmed. It was not part of the August 13 launch.

Every Yeezy model since 2009

Yeezy footwear has run through three brand eras: two Nike models, eight years at adidas, and the independent line that began in 2023. The table lists the debut year of each silhouette.

Independent Yeezy against adidas Yeezy: what actually changed

Three things separate the current line from the adidas one, and only one of them is design.

The first is the naming. adidas models were numbered by silhouette family, from the Boost 350 to the 700 and 500. The independent range uses two-letter codes tied to product type: YS for slides, AQ for the water shoe, BL for the sneaker, HL for the heel. The Yeezy 800 is the first departure back toward the old system.

The second is price. The adidas Yeezy Slide sat at $90 and the Boost models ran from roughly $200 upward, with the 950 boot listed at $585 in 2015. Nothing in the current range costs more than $108. The line has moved from limited-run premium product to volume product.

The third, and the one that decides whether any of it works, is distribution. Under adidas the sneakers moved through a global wholesale network of thousands of doors. Between 2023 and mid-2026 they moved through a single website. The JD Sports and Finish Line deal is the first structural fix to that problem, and it is why the August 13 launch mattered more than the products in it.

Do the adidas Yeezy models still exist

Not as new production. adidas stopped making Yeezy after the October 2022 termination and spent the following seasons releasing the inventory it already held, a process that accounted for most of the $565 million the line generated in 2023. Once that stock cleared, the Boost 350 V2, the Foam Runner, the 700 and the rest became secondary-market items only.

That is worth knowing before buying. Anything sold as a new adidas Yeezy in 2026 is either old stock, deadstock held by a reseller, or a fake. The only sneakers being manufactured under the name today are the independent models listed above.

How Yeezy pricing changed

The independent line is built on the opposite logic: high volume, low price, minimal materials cost. Whether the Yeezy 800 holds that line is the open question of the autumn. A full sneaker with layered construction is a more expensive object to make than a moulded foam slide.

Where to buy Yeezy sneakers in 2026

Two channels sell Yeezy sneakers 2026: yeezy.com, which ships direct and prices the YS-01 at $40, and JD Sports and Finish Line, which stock the range online and in selected stores.

For European buyers the position is unchanged for now. The August 13 launch is a United States release, and no European rollout has been announced even though JD Sports operates across the UK and mainland Europe. Until that changes, the only route from Europe remains yeezy.com or the resale market.
