Leland Tyler Wayne, born September 16, 1993, produces as Metro Boomin. Born and raised in St. Louis, he started making beats in seventh grade after his mother bought him a laptop and a copy of FruityLoops, produced five beats a day in high school and networked with Atlanta artists over Twitter while his mother drove him eight hours each way to sessions. He moved to Atlanta for Morehouse College in 2012 and became the defining trap producer of the decade. His credits include "Tuesday," "Jumpman," "Father Stretch My Hands," "Bad and Boujee," "Mask Off" and "Bank Account." He produced full albums with 21 Savage in Savage Mode and Savage Mode II, and with Future in We Don't Trust You and We Still Don't Trust You. His solo albums Not All Heroes Wear Capes and Heroes & Villains both debuted at number one.
